Why didn't Kizz Daniel perform at the Qatar 2022 World Cup opening ceremony

The absence of Nigerian singer and songwriter Oluwatobiloba Anidugbe, better known by his stage name Kizz Daniel, from the FIFA Qatar 2022 World Cup opening ceremony on Sunday has been explained.

The singer's performance at the FIFA Qatar 2022 World Cup caused some consternation.

Fans who expected the singer to perform at the opening ceremony on Sunday alongside fellow Nigerian artist CKay were concerned when he did not appear on stage.

However, the 'Buga' star, who confirmed he would perform at the event, stated that he was scheduled to perform on November 23rd, not November 20th, as previously speculated.

Kizz Daniel confirmed his participation in the World Cup in Qatar in a post on his twitter page on Friday, November 11th.

"This one is for Africa," he wrote. This one is for the Vado people. See you at the Qatar World Cup on November 23, 2022."

Meanwhile, those who believed the singer was supposed to perform at the opening ceremony took to social media to express their disappointment at his and other Nigerian artists' absence from the event.

"But Davido, Kizz Daniel, and co were supposed to perform at the World Cup opening ceremony," JulioKitoko wrote. Why aren't they there?"

"I thought Kizz Daniel said he'd be performing at the World Cup?" wrote Ajoke.

"I did not see," FaiBoris added. At the World Cup opening ceremony, look for Kizz Daniel or Davido. After all the hype from Nigerians, including myself, I'm excited to see him ginger and Buga the crowd. What happened? "Did a lack of electricity prevent Nigerians from being updated on time?"

"I thought Kizz Daniel and Davido were going to perform at the World Cup opening ceremony?" Steeze wrote. "What occurred?"
