Iyanya Onoyom Mbuk, also known as Iyanya, a popular Nigerian music star, recalled on Wednesday how he pleaded with show organizers to let him perform for free in December 2021.
The 36-year-old singer revealed in a series of tweets on his official Twitter handle that he performed at three shows in December 2021 but was only paid for one.
The Kukere crooner, on the other hand, thanked God as his story changed in December 2022, claiming to have more than 20 shows in just one month.
"Last year, December 2021, I performed at three shows, one paid and two begged to perform at just to be seen," he tweeted.
"2022 December, I wake up and everyday to alerts for shows, haven't had this kind of busy december since 2017, 20+ shows in one month. Thank you, God".
