Gareth Southgate, England's head coach, expressed disappointment after his team conceded twice against Iran on Monday.
The Three Lions won 6-2 to kick off their World Cup campaign in 2022.
Only an hour into the game, Southgate's men led 4-0.
But Mehdi Taremi equalized in the 65th minute and then converted a penalty with the game's final kick to make it 6-2.
"I'm really happy to win by that margin and play the way we did for the majority of the game," Southgate said after the game.
"Our pressing and movement were excellent. I have to be happy, but we should not have conceded two goals. We will have to go up against the United States."
