'I can't talk to you if you haven't made $100 million this year,' says Burna Boy

Burna Boy, a Nigerian megastar, has stated on his Instagram story that he will not engage in conversation with any colleague who has not met the $100 million revenue benchmark by 2022.

Burna Boy, the Grammy-winning megastar, is known for being vocal about his success, and he stated on his Instagram page on Sunday, 30th October 2022 that he will not be caught in a money argument with any artist who hasn't made $100 million in 2022.

His post comes just hours after fellow megastar Wizkid used Snapchat to make veiled digs at some artists. Wizkid stated in a series of posts that other artists will never be able to compete with his wealth, even if he decides to never perform again.

He also mentioned that he might think about teaching artists how to get what they deserve through less stress and smart business. Wizkid concluded by stating that colleagues should now address him as "Sir" and "Daddy."

Wizkid's posts were interpreted as subtle digs at fellow megastars Burna Boy and Davido. Burna Boy's post will also appear to be a response to Wizkid.

So far, Wizkid's Snapchat post has sparked speculation on Twitter from fans, who have speculated on the intention and parties involved.
