Ahmed Ololade, better known by his stage name Asake, is a Nigerian Afrobeats artist who has been chosen as Audiomack's Artiste of the Year for 2022.
The well-known streaming service claims that Asake deserves the award for both his superb musical skills in featured tracks and his wholesome introduction to the batch of hit songs he offered in 2022.
When the energetic song "Omo Ope," featuring renowned Nigerian rapper Olamide, was released, Asake, who joined the YBNL label in January, first attracted the attention of Nigerian listeners.
On Thursday, the company posted the following statement on its website: "In September, Asake launched his debut album, Mr Money With The Vibe, a 30-minute barrage of party tunes that had over 330 million streams on Audiomack and debuted at No. 66 on the Billboard 200.
