'The Rock' Dwayne Johnson  buys every Snickers bar available at Hawaii 7-Eleven

This week, Dwayne Johnson made an unexpected appearance at a Hawaii 7-Eleven. But he wasn't there to get a quick drink; he was there to atone for his childhood sins.

If the Rock casually walking into a 7-Eleven wasn't strange enough, things got even stranger when the superstar presented hundreds of Snickers bars at the counter.

The Rock, it turns out, didn't buy all that candy because he loves Snickers, but because he wanted to make amends for his wrongdoings as a teenager when he was a local resident of the Island. When he was 14, the "Black Adam" actor admitted to stealing a Snickers bar every day before his gym sessions and using it as a pre-workout. His family was "broke as hell," which is why he couldn't come up with enough money to buy the sweet treat. "I finally exorcised this damn chocolate demon that had been gnawing at me for decades," a relieved Rock posted on Instagram.

Fortunately, the store clerk saw the humor despite having to count the huge pile of chocolate bars presented to him by the actor. Johnson also paid for all of the customers' food and drinks who were in the store at the time.

The gesture more than makes up for the Rock's bad adolescent habits. "We can't change the past or some of the stupid things we've done, but every now and then, we can add a little redeeming grace note to that situation - and maybe put a big smile on some strangers' faces," he said.
