Beyoncé surpasses her husband Jay-Z's record for the most Grammy nominations as an artist.

 


Beyoncé has earned yet another place in Grammy history with her album 'The Renaissance Age.' According to the Recording Academy, the superstar now has 87 Grammy nominations after receiving eight nods for the 65th Grammy Awards. Beyoncé now has more nominations than any other artist in history, breaking Jay-previous Z's record.

Prior to this, she and Paul McCartney tied for second place in the 2020 Grammy nominations with 79 nominations, making her the most nominated female artist overall. According to the official Grammy website, only producers Jay-Z and Quincy Jones had more nominations at the time, with each receiving 80.


Because of the nominations announced yesterday, Beyoncé is now in a position to outperform other musicians in terms of Grammy wins. The current champion is conductor Georg Solti, who has won 31 awards. Beyoncé is currently the most honored female performer, with 28 golden gramophones.
