Lil Uzi Vert's decision to include his Young Thug and Gunna collaboration "Strawberry Peels" on the deluxe edition of his previous album could prove costly... the Generation Now rapper is being sued over the song.
Sun City Publishing is suing Uzi, Thug, Gunna, the song's producer Wheezy, as well as the record labels Atlantic and Generation Now, for allegedly stealing samples from Blackout's 1995 song "Dim Da Lights."
Sun City claims it never gave Uzi permission to sample the track and that "Strawberry Peels" has been a huge success since its release, with over 39 million Spotify streams and over 4 million YouTube plays.
