The rock community is in mourning. Christine Mcvie, the British singer, keyboardist, and songwriter who was a key member of Fleetwood Mac, died at the age of 79. Her death was announced in an official statement by the band on social media.
"There are no words to express how deeply we mourn Christine McVie's death." She was truly one-of-a-kind, special, and gifted beyond measure. She was the best musician anyone could have in their band, as well as the best friend anyone could have.
"We were extremely fortunate to have a life with her. Individually and collectively, we adore Christine and are grateful for the wonderful memories we have of her. "She will be greatly missed," the statement said.

She was a critical component of the band's success.
"She was accompanied by her family. We respectfully request that the family's privacy be respected during this extremely difficult time, and we would like everyone to remember Christine as an incredible human being and revered musician who was universally loved. Christine McVie, rest in peace "Christine's family did not provide any additional information about the illness she was suffering from.
