Access Bank offers alternative cash deposit channels for the new Naira notes

In response to the Central Bank of Nigeria's (CBN) announcement that new naira notes will be designed and issued beginning December 15, 2022, Access Bank Plc has urged its customers to use its alternative channels to deposit their existing naira notes in order to beat the rush while new ones are circulated.

In a recent message sent to customers over the weekend via multiple channels, Access Bank stated that "there is no need to panic as we are closer to you than you think." "With over 600 branches, over 150,000 Access Bank CLOSA agents and deposit ATMs across our branches, and over 500 BETA agents present in over 180 major markets in Nigeria to receive cash from customers, we are just a doorstep away," the message said.

Our customers can easily deposit their existing Naira notes through any of these channels that are convenient for them.

"For your convenience, our branches will be open later during the week and on Saturdays beginning at 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. to accept cash deposits

"With over 160,000 Access Closa Agents currently spread across the country's 774 Local Government Areas, you can easily deposit your existing naira notes through an agent near you in your location to avoid the risk of transporting cash to a far distance to locate a branch."

"Whether you deposit your existing Naira notes at a branch, an ATM, or a POS, you can be confident that your money is safe with us and that you can always rely on our speed, service, and security."

During this time, all cash deposit transactions will be free, according to the bank.

"We urge all of our esteemed customers to deposit their naira notes before the deadline of January 31, 2023, when the current naira notes will cease to be legal tender," the bank added.
